A choice seemingly as safe as a Swiss bank is Ericsson, which is supplying Swiss telco Swisscom with the latest Gigabit and 5G tech, re-affirming an existing long-standing strategic partnership.

Ericsson is celebrating China’s first commercial deployment of Gigabit LTE with China Unicom, with Ericsson being the telco’s “strategic partner".

Ericsson played a key part in the delivery and launch of Telstra’s Gigabit LTE Network which is capable of up to double previous uplink speeds, and much faster uploading of content to social media, the cloud or business applications.

Telstra can now deliver Gigabit — that is 1000 megabits per second wireless downloads and a very respectable 150Mbps upload — via the 4GX LTE network in the central business district of Sydney. The service will be rolled out to other capital cities soon.
